Creating an Accent Wall

November 1, 2022

Not all accent walls are created equal. Accent walls are a must in our designs, and the more accent walls the better..they instantly elevate the look and feel of your builder home. We have rounded up our 5 favorite type of accents walls that will sure to bring some life to your home!

Bringing in those wood tones with a stain grade material is an instant winner. We love the warmth and variation you get when wood is stained. Try creating a fun pattern on a large wall..if you have a smaller wall keep it more simple with your design!

When adding a painted accent wall make sure to choose a bold enough color and pattern so it stands out. Adding a wood painted accent walls in any part of your house is sure to liven up even the smallest and darkest space!

Wallpaper is back..and we absolutely LOVE brining in a fun pattern to any space. One wall behind a bed or an entire bathroom wallpapered is such a fun way to bring in color!

Pro tip: find an amazing wallpaper installer who will skim coat your walls before applying the wallpaper. You don’t want to see the orange peel texture behind your wallpaper..and you want to be sure all your patterns line up perfectly!

Adding vertical tongue and groove planks in a bold color is ALWAYS killer! Added bonus, adding the wood planks in a vertical pattern will make your ceilings feel drastically larger than they are too!

A slat wood wall is BY FAR my favorite accent wall. This adds so much depth and texture..and this wood tone is to die for. We skim coated and painted the wall behind the planks black to give a high contrast look.
